Serial Gamer Publishing

Serial Gamer Publishing is an independent tabletop role-playing game label born from the experience of Serial Gamer Italia, a media platform active since 2017 in criticism, live play, and editorial coverage of the international RPG landscape.
Through years of in-depth reviews, streamed campaigns, and collaboration with publishers across Europe and beyond, the project has developed a clear editorial vision grounded in real table experience, design analysis, and narrative responsibility.

The mission of Serial Gamer Publishing is to transform this background into original works designed to be truly played: adventures, campaigns, and settings built with careful attention to pacing at the table, clarity of tools for facilitators, and stories capable of generating meaningful consequences for both characters and the worlds they inhabit.

Alongside narrative design, the label places strong emphasis on technical and production quality, including professional layout, print-on-demand optimization, immediate digital availability, and multilingual publishing, with the goal of making its titles accessible to an international community of players.

The first release in the catalog, The Throne of the Arcane Heart, marks the practical beginning of this editorial path: a complete fantasy campaign centered on fragile alliances, ancient mysteries, and decisions with lasting impact.
As is common for early-stage independent productions, part of the visual artwork for this inaugural title was created using generative-assisted tools, adopted as a temporary and pragmatic solution to ensure production sustainability while maintaining visual coherence. Future releases are oriented toward direct collaboration with human artists, aiming to establish a fully authored and shared visual identity.

This evolution continues with Dissident, the first fully original in-house production from Serial Gamer Publishing, scheduled for release in 2026.
Set in a near future shaped by corporate power, systemic surveillance, and fragmented forms of resistance, the project approaches role-playing as a way to explore political, ethical, and social tension through espionage, infiltration, and imperfect acts of containment. In this world, characters are not heroes meant to save reality, but operational variables moving within a system stable enough to resist change, where every decision produces consequences and every victory is temporary. Serial Gamer Publishing continues to expand its catalog while maintaining an ongoing dialogue with the independent scene and the global player community, grounded in the belief that role-playing games are living, collaborative experiences capable of questioning the present as much as imagining the future.
