Negli scorsi giorni vi abbiamo raccontato di come Prey for the Gods abbia dovuto cambiare nome in Praey for the Gods per un reclamo da parte di Bethesda, e i fan del gioco si sono scagliati subito contro la compagnia.
Pete Hines, il vice presidente della Software House, ha risposto a quest’ultimi che accusavano la casa di aver danneggiato un piccolo studio indipendente.
Hines, ovviamente, ha preso le difese di Bethesda e delle sue azioni, facendo notare di come già due anni fa il publisher avesse contattato No Matter Studios, ma senza ricevere risposta, alchè si è visto costretto a prendere provvedimenti in merito.
Inoltre lo stesso Hines ha affermato come spesso la casa americana abbia dovuto cambiare nome ad un progetto per venire incontro alle esigenze di altre aziende.

because they didn't listen to anything we said before now, including their own trademark lawyer(s) that filed for the trademark.

Cool has nothing to do with it. Its how trademark law works. You protect your mark or lose it. You don't really have a choice.
